Kulwinder Singh, M.D., M.P.H

Dr. Kulwinder Singh is dedicated to providing much needed psychiatric care to seniors (age 50 and above) in the community. He is board-certified both in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry—providing psychiatric services to treat a broad spectrum of psychiatric illness in seniors with a special interest in cognitive disorders (dementia), depression, bipolar, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. He has extensive experience in practicing outpatient and inpatient psychiatry in a variety of settings that include nursing homes both in the private and public sector.

He completed his residency training in psychiatry from St. Elizabeths, Washington DC and additional fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry from Columbia and Presbyterian Hospital, NY. Dr. Singh was selected to the leadership position of Chief Resident in the final year of Residency training. He earned a Masters in Public Health from the University of South Carolina, majoring in health administration and policy.

Dr. Singh emphasizes evidence-based psychopharmacological interventions along with elements of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), lifestyle changes and Mindfulness. He is committed to maintaining close relationships with each patients’ health care team, family care providers, and available community resources. Dr. Singh’s goal is to maximize the quality of life and functionality of his patients.

We accept Medicare and other major commercial health insurances such as Blue Shield, Blue Cross Behavioral Health, Magellan, Cigna, Aetna, Humana, United Behavioral Health/Optum, MHN, Multiplan, Stanford Health Care Advantage, Tricare and Golden State Medicare Plan . An option of affordable fee for services is available as well.
